ACCOMPLISHMENTS

MANAGEMENT DEVELOPMENT

  • Developed the Production Team into a high performing unit enabling their: scenario planning; operating as a production portfolio; and forging explicit agreements with the new owner, lessening detrimental effects of divestiture on the work force.
  • Consulted with plant management to merge a team-within-a-team into a cohesive working group using 360 feedback and succession planning.
  • Trained human resources staff in consulting skills that improved service delivery and customer satisfaction in a transition to a shared services environment.
  • Coached a plant manager to improve his image and people skills with superiors, peers and subordinates, contributing to his promotion to vice-president in 18 months.

PROCESS IMPROVEMENT

  • Facilitated reengineering of a planning process by a cross-functional team, which led to a decrease in equipment maintenance and repair times.
  • Challenged plant and supply management personnel to develop procedures and communication mechanisms that led to fewer delays in receiving parts and a reduced number of incorrect items received, division-wide.

LEADERSHIP INITIATIVE

  • Consulted with senior leadership on performance appraisal processes.
  • Reorganized the board of a non-profit agency that led to improved relationships with the parent organization, board and staff leading to a 15% increase in funding.
